On the 29th of April, 2013 BIAT participated in a coordination meeting among the involved partners of the 4 ENPI solar energy projects in Lebanon, at the LCEC offices at the ministry of electricity&water. The discussion centered on how to create synergies between the activities of the 4 ENPI solar energy projects in a complimentary way that is beneficial to the Lebanese solar market and to the objectives of the ENPI initiatives.
Mr. Maciej Madalinski, First Secretary- Head of Section Infrastructure and Local Development of the EU, expressed his appreciation for the team efforts and progress of this initiative.
The event began with an introduction note by the EU-PAO representative, Mr. Mohammad Chreif, followed by an introduction to the 4 ENPI solar energy projects in Lebanon, SHAAMS, FOSTER in MED, MED-SOALR, and MED-DESIRE and the involved Lebanese partners.
BIAT’s innovation officer, Mr. Abdel Rahman Ghaleb, conducted a presentation about the SHAAMS project and on BIAT’s role as a local contact point for the project’s activities and work plan leader for the enterprise research pillar.
