BIAT conducted a two day IBP (Introduction to Business Planning) training for Maurice Fadel Prize participants on the 17th and 18th of May.
The IBP course, taught by BIAT Director, Mr. Fawaz Hamidi and Mrs. Claudia Ayoubi, centered on teaching the participants how to develop a business plan, manage business operations, understand accounting and financials, and market products and services. Once the students grasped the material, they were divided in 5 groups and given templates to assist them with creating their business plans. At the end of the session each group presented their business plan.
The session also included a guest speaker, Mr. Mohamad Alameddine, founder and general manager of a chain of innovative restaurants across Canada. Mr. Alameddine shared his experiences and expertise with entrepreneurship and innovation, and answered the participants’ questions.
