SHAAMS Policy First Local Meeting
Green Building in Lebanon: Stick & Carrot
On the 28th of August 2014, BIAT organized the first local policy meeting of SHAAMS which main role to define and implement a series of actions aimed at raising public awareness on the opportunities and potentialities of solar energy solutions for the social and economical growth in Lebanon.
This was with the coordination of the Lebanese Conservation Center (LCEC) and the Lebanese Green Building Council (LGBC), under the policy accelerator pillar of SHAAMS ENPI CBC Med project. The event gave importance to the Green Buildings in Lebanon taking into consideration on one hand the policies and regulations (stick), and on the other hand the financial schemes and incentives (carrot).
