GIZ Sustained Technical and Business Support

The primary aim of the project is to enhance and create access to livelihood and income generating opportunities for youth and women in T+5 regions. This should be achieved through providing access to finance in the form of in-kind grants for the SMEs. These in-kind grants will be invested in the most efficient and effective way in the businesses. Business Support and one to one support (coaching) will be provided to the SMEs (40 SMEs) to boost the impact of the in kind grants.
In order to achieve the aim of the project, the following measures are planned:
50 SMEs will receive a procurement needs assessment (A field visit will be executed to validate data, in addition of technical needs specification of the equipment)
At least 50 SMEs will receive coaching on pitching (1 coaching session). (each beneficiary will get 1 coaching session on how to develop a pitching presentation including mission, vision, challenges, needs in addition of impact after support receiving.
At least 50 SMEs will participate in a pitching competition.
At least 40 SMEs will have access to in-kind grants
At least 40 SMEs will receive coaching on Business Development (1 coaching session). This session will focus on enhancing their Businesses, adapting their business model /operations to the fast changing context.
At least 40 SMEs will receive coaching on procurement (1 coaching session). This session will transfer the knowledge to the beneficiaries on the standard procedure of procurement
