This UNDP project addresses structural challenges affecting agriculture and productive enterprises in the Zgharta Cluster. It supports 40 selected farmers, cooperatives, and MSMEs by providing grant-funded equipment and tailored technical assistance, enabling beneficiaries to implement their business plans, improve production efficiency and product quality, expand market access, and generate more sustainable income and employment opportunities.
BIAT manages beneficiary validation, technical needs assessments, equipment specifications, market and price analysis, procurement planning, supplier identification, and competitive sourcing. The project also applies quality-assurance and inspection procedures to verify that equipment meets the required technical, safety, and performance standards. This integrated approach reduces procurement risks and helps beneficiaries adopt practical, cost-effective assets suited to their operational needs.
