Strengthening Lebanon’s Wheat Value Chain – ONGOING

As the Responsible Party for this UNDP-led initiative, BIAT supports MSMEs, cooperatives, and youth-led startups across Lebanon’s wheat value chain through business diagnostics, coaching, incubation, in-kind assistance, procurement, and post-support monitoring, with at least 50% women-led participation.

Employability and Empowerment of Youth in Crisis – V – ONGOING

Implemented with UNICEF, this nationwide initiative equips 3,000 young people with social entrepreneurship and enterprise-development skills, seed funding, mentorship, and market connections, creating pathways to self-employment, income generation, and greater economic resilience.

FIELD – Food Innovation for Enterprises, Livelihoods & Development – COMPLETED

FIELD was a WFP-supported livelihoods project implemented by BIAT in Akkar and North Lebanon, providing 30 farmers, agricultural cooperatives, and food-related MSMEs with diagnostics, training, technical assistance, market and finance linkages, quality testing, and tailored in-kind support.

Pragmatic Tools in Times of Crisis: Supporting Lebanese SMEs and Startups through Crisis – COMPLETED

Implemented with SANAD Technical Assistance Facility and Finance in Motion, this initiative strengthened 20 Lebanese startups and SMEs through structured assessments and tailored support addressing resilience, digitalization, agrifinance, market access, and the specific needs of women- and youth-led businesses.

Support to the Agriculture Sector in the Zgharta Cluster through Grant-Funded Equipment and Technical Support – ONGOING

This UNDP project supports 40 farmers, cooperatives, and MSMEs in the Zgharta Cluster with grant-funded equipment, technical guidance, and implementation assistance to improve agricultural productivity, product quality, market access, and sustainable income generation.

PROTECHMED – Promoting Innovative Solutions for the Technological Transition of the Mediterranean Horticultural Sector – ONGOING

PROTECHMED is an Interreg NEXT MED project advancing sustainable protected horticulture through innovative greenhouse solutions that improve water and energy efficiency, strengthen SME capacity, and accelerate the technological transition of the Mediterranean horticultural sector.
